Baptism is a cleansing, it’s a protection and therefore it becomes power. Take your power back!
All religions have baptisms and exorcisms too, o do both and in fact in many ways, they can be one in the same . Here is traditional initiations and baptism day June 23 St. John the Baptist Day, Voodoo baptisms in the lake or the Bayou been around since before the days of Marie Laveau even before we were in New Orleans. I carry the new Orleans Voodoo tradition of marie Laveau. I use the water gathered this day, the waters of oir Mami water for cleansing throughout the year in ritual & spells . Salute St. John the Baptist he can ward away the storms and help remove attachments from ourselves.
This is my 33rd annual St. John’s Eve ritual for community and spirit of place as we immerse totally in the Bayou the old school baptism way is my way. ’sEve
