During the New Orleans Jazz Fest, visit the Anton Haardt Gallery. Outsider folk artist, Mose T, once hung his paintings in trees outside his home. During the New Orleans Jazz Fest the Anton Haardt Gallery will feature the work of Outsider Artists, such as the late Rev. Howard Finster, who once saw a vision in his fingerprint that told him to make sacred art, Juanita Rogers, who was compelled by spirits to make sculptures from mud and graveyard dirt, New Orleans' own Willie White saw visions of fantastic prehistoric birds, dragons and flying horses over Central City. Also on display are a collection of eclectic art with a Juke Joint feel by some of Louisiana’s Outsider artists.

"Michael Jackson" by Outsider Artist Chuckie Williams. Created circa 1992, Chuckie Williams was born in 1957 and lived at home with his mother in Shreveport, until his death at the age of 42. This double-sided portrait of Michael is painted on plywood with bold colors and added glitter. Chuckie's art has been exhibited all over the USA and in many prestigious collections. Roy Ferdinand painted portraits inspired by the diverse cast of characters who inhabited New Orleans, from the ghetto to the French Quarter. Anton says, "He used to work for me in the 1990's through 2003, doing gardening and home reno, and often sold me drawings. A limousine driver in those days, Roy liked to come by with his new drawings." Here's one of a gospel choir.
