BIG NEWS FROM THE GARDEN DISTRICT GALLERY
We're writing to let you know that, after six wonderful years, we have decided to sell our art gallery, the Garden District Gallery in New Orleans.

We so appreciate you being a part of our gallery adventure. We've enjoyed the artistic side of the gallery more than we ever expected and feel enormously proud of the many shows we've presented. We're equally proud that we were able to give opportunities and exposure to some wonderfully gifted artists in the region and, in the process, make a significant contribution to the livelihood of so many artists. We've also enjoyed the many new friendships we've made in the artistic community and that, in itself, is priceless.

Our most fervent hope is that the property will remain a fine art gallery committed to showing outstanding local and regional artists. But, having said that, the real estate market here in New Orleans is bustling at the moment, so it's impossible to predict the results of the sale and the future of the property.

The gallery is just now on the market but, until a sale occurs, the gallery will be operating as normal. If you are interested, our realtor is: Joanne Curren ([email protected]). If you are in town, please drop by anytime during operating hours - we'd love to see you - and do contact us with any questions you may have. Please also know that condolences are not necessary....we've had lots of fun doing this. But now we're ready to have fun doing many other things!

Everyone at the gallery would like to extend our warmest congratulations to our wonderful friend and gallery artist Rolland Golden on being one of five honorees for the 2015 Louisiana Legends award on May 7th at the Old State Capital in Baton Rouge! Presented by the Friends of Louisiana Public Broadcasting, this event honors the "best and brightest of Louisiana who have distinguished themselves in a variety of disciplines and have brought honor to the state". In addition to Rolland, this year's honorees were Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, Robert Crais, Joe Dumars and Roger Ogden. Congratulations to the entire Golden family on this wonderful and well deserved recognition!
