GiveNOLA Day is here! You can give to the Black Film Festival of New Orleans today! https://www.givenola.org/organization/BFFNO
Here's a message from the founder and director about the work our organization does and the cause you'll be supporting should you choose to donate:
The Black Film Festival of New Orleans is a community-focused organization. We are dedicated to serving the artists and audiences of New Orleans, and we do not expect anything in return. One of our core values is that this investment is not about profit.
However, if you plan to donate to an institution on GiveNOLA Day, we encourage you to consider contributing to us. Your support will go directly towards our mission to provide free entertainment and resources to our community.
For the community, BFFNO provides free entertainment through our festival events, which feature the city's finest comedians, poets, and musicians. We also offer live streaming of festival films and year-round content on our YouTube channel, updated with BFFNO originals and programs about New Orleans.
For our independent filmmakers, we offer a platform to exhibit their work. We provide pro-bono services, including resources and labor, to independent film sets. We also develop the next generation of filmmakers through our Level Up filmmaker lab, providing paid set work, skill development, mentorship, and opportunities to create their own individual projects.
We will continue to do what we can for New Orleans for as long as we can, and we would be grateful for your support in our efforts.
Thank you.
GiveNOLA Day, an initiative of the Greater New Orleans Foundation, is a one-day online giving event. For 24 hours, everyone who loves our region can support their favorite local causes by donating to one or more of 700+ participating nonprofit organizations.
