Cliff Pitre, husband of RHINO artist Alison Ford Pitre, was shot during a carjacking in Algiers in early February. Cliff spent 3 weeks in ICU and in the hospital and had 2 emergency surgeries. Days later he had a 3rd surgery, although he’s in stable condition he will have a long road to full recovery. Alison and Cliff have 3 small children at home, and in an effort to help their family with medical and living expenses during this time RHINO members are hosting a silent auction.
UPDATED INFORMATION: The auction will begin during the opening of the spring show, Birds and Bees, Flowers and Trees, on April 2nd at the gallery. Though there will not be any opening for the show, 25% of all sales of those art items will go to the Pitre Family. The auction items will be available to be bid on from April second until 6 PM on April 22nd. At that same time, the spring art show will end.
RHINO is still looking for more pieces of artwork and other saleable items for this benefit auction. If you or anybody you know would like to help the Pitre family during this time and have any saleable items you would like to donate, please contact Cathy Cooper-Stratton at (504) 914-6802 or the gallery during business hours at: (504) 523-7945. Once again, all proceeds for the auction and 25% on sales during the art show will be donated to the Pitre family.
Thank you,
The members of RHINO Contemporary Crafts Co.
