The Force of Color
Ann Marie Auricchio & Ryoko Endo
June 6 – July 25, 2026

Opening Reception
Saturday, June 6, 6 – 8 pm

Octavia Art Gallery is pleased to present The Force of Color: Ann Marie Auricchio & Ryoko Endo, an exhibition that positions color as an active, shaping force rather than a descriptive element. Across both practices, color operates as a condition, structuring space through gesture, accumulation, and tension. Marks collide, recede, and reconfigure without resolution, creating a sustained dialogue in which perception remains fluid and unsettled.

FINAL DAYS!!!
Carlos Betancourt: The Persistence of Objects
Through Saturday!

For more than three decades, Carlos Betancourt has built a body of work that explores memory as both material and experience. His multidisciplinary practice—spanning photography, painting, sculpture, installation, and mixed media—treats images, objects, symbols, and fragments as vessels of remembrance. Across time, places, and mediums, Betancourt constructs visual systems that examine how memory expands, transforms, and persists.

British South African sculptor Lucille Lewin – formerly the founder of Whistles and Creative Director of Liberty – creates works that are fractured metaphors for human experience through time. Her seemingly delicate, poetic pieces are personal and political. She models porcelain clay, dips, slips, casts and throws it before it is cut-up, pressed, extruded, broken and reassembled, a rigorous process of construction and deconstruction, akin to a composer, building her works to a gradual crescendo.

Opening next week in Fitzrovia, London, Rhythm in the Blues is a dynamic group exhibition of artists presented by Octavia Gallery’s Pamela Bryan in collaboration with Julia Campbell Carter.

Bringing together five international artists working across painting, sculpture and photography, the exhibition explores rhythm as something seen as much as heard. Across prismatic pattern, repetition, harmonies of blue hues and gesture, artists Alia Ali, Aigana Gali, Azadeh Ghotbi, Naomie Kremer and Lucille Lewin each develop a distinct visual language shaped by memory, migration, identity and place.

Together, their work reflects the power of women’s voices in contemporary art, voices that move across borders and disciplines while remaining closely attuned to both the political and poetic textures of lived experience. Please DM for additional details, event times/dates, and artist’s checklists.

Rhythm in the Blues is on view from 11 - 20 May at 14 Percy Street, London W1T 1DR.
Open 10am - 6pm daily
