Becky Fos Artistry Welcome to the colorful world of Becky Fos – self-taught impasto artist making the world a more color Becky Fos’ works are simply signed B. Fos.

A New Orleans resident, by way of Austin, Becky Fos is a bit of a Renaissance Woman. An everyday mom, Fos is a popular artist in the Big Easy with a streak of burning creative rivaled only by her daily goal of living an active lifestyle. Through her constant healthy pursuits she has been nominated as a Brigade Ambassador for Evamor Alkaline Water as well as a Store Ambassador for Lululemon Athleti

ca New Orleans. Her impasto technique – applying wet, undiluted oil paint with her palette knife – is unapologetically bold and energetic, using color as her forefront. Over the years, her knife strokes have become heavier and thicker, with some of the oil paint being raised half an inch off the canvas. Her art can be found at her gallery space at Gallery B. Fos on famous Magazine Street. When she is not painting in the studio or being mom to her son, Jude, Becky can be found on the levee preparing for a marathon, at the yoga studio meditating, or killing a session of CrossFit or Krav Maga.

“Everyday starts with a workout for me. It clears my mind and allows me to unleash the creative energy I need for whatever painting I may be working on at the time,” says Fos. “It also gives me the energy to chase Jude around when I’m not painting!”

Artist Statement: “For me, painting is the most authentic way to express myself. I am not good with words, so I just want to keep this short. I feel enormously blessed to live in New Orleans. And I’m inspired by everything . I gather boundless inspiration from all corners of this wild, beautiful, and colorful city. New Orleans is my muse. I try to transform the spirit of my inspirations into oil paintings with my trusty palette knife. I choose the colors on my palette, but in the end the colors really choose me.”

Have you seen my Mini Me running around the gallery? 👀🎨

You’ll catch her running around between paintings and popping into commission meetings, palette knife in hand, like she owns the studio. There’s no telling where she’ll show up next… 😆

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend it is a reminder that liberty was purchased by courage, service, and selfless love of country.

As President Ronald Reagan once said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” May we always remember those who gave everything to protect it.

To the fallen heroes and their families, we thank you, we honor you, and we will never forget. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

Hiii, let me introduce myself, I'm Becky Fos, a New Orleans-based artist!

My path to becoming an artist wasn’t traditional.

Before I ever picked up a paintbrush, I was a hairstylist. My first “canvas” was actually people’s hair. Later, I tried my hand at court reporting school, searching for a career with more balance after my son Jude was born.

But art kept calling me back.

I originally started painting simply as a way to relieve stress after long workdays. I couldn’t afford to buy art for my home, so I went to Michaels, bought the cheapest canvas and brightest paints I could find, and started creating pieces filled with color and joy. That moment changed everything.

What began as creating art to find peace became a career built around sharing happiness through color.

To this day, I still believe every painting should feel happy, alive, and full of energy. I never hold back color. 💛

And I’m so grateful that collectors from around the world have connected with that same feeling in my work.

Thank you for being here and for being part of this journey with me. 🎨

🎓🐅 Congratulations to all the graduates!

I absolutely love receiving photos like this! These two beautiful young women celebrating their high school graduation while holding prints of my tiger artwork as they prepare for their next adventure at Louisiana State University 💜💛

There’s something so meaningful about art being given to commemorate a milestone this special, a reminder of where they’ve been and all the strength, courage, and excitement that lies ahead.

Wishing these future Tigers an amazing journey as they head off to LSU and begin this next chapter of life! 🐅✨

Thinking about naming them Thelma & Louise… because every perfect partnership needs a little swamp crime energy. 💚🎨

Do I have any other Cutie Fos fans heading to the beach this summer!? 😎🌴🐬

Look how adorable these boys are with their Neon Bayou beach towels! This design is the 2026 edition and available in limited quantities.

I release a new towel featuring different artwork each year, and I think this makes the 5th edition already! 💖

Just in time for Mother’s Day 🙏🏼 🦋✨

This special triptych was commissioned for an incredible mother of three, each panel connected, just like her children.

After the tragic loss of their father, Harry, just a few months ago, this piece became so much more than artwork. Hidden throughout the painting are little symbols and touches of Harry’s spirit, including a Celtic cross honoring his Irish heritage, with a dove ascending toward it as a symbol of love, and eternal presence.
☘️🕊️

At the center of the triptych is a glowing sunset serving as a reminder that even after the darkest nights, every day brings the opportunity for a new beginning.

It’s such a blessing to be trusted with creating pieces during life’s most tender seasons. My hope is that these bright, joyful colors bring comfort, smiles, and the feeling that Harry is still surrounding his family every single day.

Art has a beautiful way of keeping memories alive. 🎨✨
