Happy Birthday to Albert Nicholas.

Born in New Orleans on May 27, 1900, Albert Nicholas became one of the defining clarinetists of traditional jazz, known for his rich tone, expressive improvisation, and contributions to the early New Orleans jazz sound.

Throughout his career, Nicholas performed alongside some of jazz’s most influential musicians and helped carry the spirit of New Orleans music to audiences around the world.
