Garland Robinette is one of those artists that does not belong to a school. You cannot place him or his paintings in a box, because the inspiration lies in true beauty and healing. He is a fascinating man from Cajun country, who traveled to Vietnam, covered the news during Hurricane Katrina on site, he’s painted the pope, and has the most beautiful wife and lovely daughter. His artistic styles cover a vast array from photo realistic portraits to surreal landscapes to the divine feminine and even to mystical juju dolls offering protection. There is something truly magical about this man, like from a different world, tapped into the real, full of love and insight… and his paintings exude just that.

Congratulations to the collectors and our dear artist René Romero Schuler on a nearly sold out show. There are a handful of large René Romero Schuler paintings left in the gallery and we hope you come and see them this spring. Next weekend is French Quarter Fest so please stop in, have a refreshment, and catch some air as the spring sun continues to shine .
