On this Memorial Day, the symbols on these streets mean more than art.

Veves are drawn to honor spirits, protect communities, and remember those who came before us. Today, we pause to honor the fallen, the remembered, and the legacies that never truly leave us. 🇺🇸🕊️

Some symbols are meant for protection.
Some are meant for guidance.
And some, like this veve, are drawn with one purpose in mind: abundance.

Right here on the streets of New Orleans, blessings get written in chalk before they show up in real life.

Step carefully… you might leave with more than you came with.

From Taiwan to the heart of New Orleans — one of our guests came through the museum and ended up teaching us something new today.

That’s one of the best parts of this place… sometimes the visitors leave with knowledge, and sometimes they leave knowledge behind.

Every conversation got a story attached to it in here. 🕯️

Happy International Family Day from the museum 🐍⚜️

Throwing it back to when Cinnamon brought one of her favorite family members to the museum and let a visiting family meet and play with her. 😂

At the New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum, you never really know what you’re gonna run into… history, spirits, stories, and every once in a while, a snake.

Some sculptures hold more than art… they hold history. 🕰️ Step inside the past with us and make sure you stay till the end for Matthew. ⚜️✨

To all the mothers out there — Happy Mother’s Day from Cinnamon.

As a mother herself, she drew a protection veve today for the women who hold families together, protect with love, and carry more than most people ever see. Y’all deserve your flowers.

In New Orleans, people learn early… storms don’t always announce themselves. 🌪️⚜️

Maybe that’s why this city moves the way it does — rooted in faith, ritual, protection, and respecting forces bigger than ourselves.

Hurricane season is coming. Come feel the energy for yourself.

Matthew Ferguson showing out in front of the museum 👀

Side note — ask him where he’s playing next… word is he’s been picking up Jazz gigs all around the city lately.

Come stop by, catch a vibe, and say hey.
