These striking sculptures by artist Brad Curtsinger are inspired by sea beans and sea almonds, seeds that travel across oceans carried by currents, saltwater, wind, and time. Washed ashore after journeys that can span thousands of miles, they become quiet symbols of resilience, transformation, and connection to distant places.

Brad captures their organic forms on a monumental scale, inviting us to look closer at the beauty hidden within nature’s smallest travelers. Each piece feels both ancient and alive, shaped by the same forces that move the sea itself🌊

Explore storytelling through clay in our Exploring Stories in Faces, Flora, and Fauna workshop, June 7–8, in partnership with the Museum of Art, DeLand. Create expressive sculptures inspired by nature, memory, and imagination.

Then, take your wheel throwing to the next level with Developing Throwing & Carving Skills on July 11–12. Learn how to transform thrown forms into beautifully carved works while refining your technical skills.

Two sculptures. Two locations. One extraordinary collaboration.

At Jane’s Art Center, Sea Oats. At The Hub on Canal, Opposites.

These one-of-a-kind works bring together the talents of metal sculptor Frederick A. Goldstein and glass sculptor Saulius Jankauskas. Each piece began with a carefully engineered steel structure, followed by the precise integration of hand-formed glass elements created to exact specifications. Every decision, measurement, and installation required technical expertise, patience, and trust between the artists.

Because of the complexity of combining steel and glass, these sculptures cannot simply be reproduced. They are the result of two distinct artistic practices working in perfect harmony; where neither material dominates, and each depends on the other to create a unified form.

Visit both locations to experience these remarkable works in person and discover the beauty that emerges when craftsmanship, engineering, and artistic vision come together.
