Tokyo-based contemporary artist Ao Miyasaka will present a three-day exhibition showcasing her latest couture collection during New York Fashion Week , held from February 16–18, 2026, at Gallery Wave in New York.
This exhibition recontextualizes the works originally presented on the runway, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the collection through physical proximity, material detail, and conceptual depth.
The exhibition is intended for media, buyers, collectors, and professionals across art and fashion, serving as a space for viewing, dialogue, and exchange.

About the Collection
Title: Death to Violence.
Format: Couture works / Textile art / Embroidery
This collection is developed under the theme
“R.I.P. — A Rite of Passage for the Former Self.”
While events may unfold in chains, whether our emotional responses continue to repeat is a choice we can make.
No memory will ever return in exactly the same form tomorrow.
This body of work envisions a farewell to the past—an act of letting go in order to trust who we are today and the environment we now stand in.
Drawing from Edo-period ukiyo-e and traditional Japanese tattoo culture, embroidery is reinterpreted not as decoration, but as a ritualistic technique associated with prayer, memory, and community formation.
The word “Love,” embedded throughout the works, extends beyond romantic meaning to encompass Respect, Peace, and Family.

Fiat Ignis III: Let There Be Fire Photo Book - signed by Prof. Frank Olt and Prof. Dan Christoffel

our 3rd annual exhibition celebrating wood-fired ceramic art.

This is not a standard catalog—it’s a custom-designed art book with a refined, beautiful layout. Designed by Bing Lu (), the 44-page book features works by 12 ceramic artists, shaped by fire, time, and collaboration.

Rather than a single narrative, the book captures a series of encounters—functional and sculptural works side by side, each holding traces of fire, material, touch, and attention. Different moods and rhythms come together in a quiet cohesion.

Reviewed in Ceramics Now (January 2026).
A keepsake to celebrate our 3rd annual Fiat Ignis exhibition. 🔥

🔥 Price options (Limited 20 copies available and first 5 orders come with a bonus):
• $50 — gallery pickup
• $54 — shipping included

✨ This purchase includes a donation:
50% of the proceeds go to the New England Wood Firing Conference, directly supporting education and our wood-firing community.
The remaining proceeds will be rolled over to support next year’s 4th edition project.

Special Thanks to previous year donors: Keiko Inouye, Eike Maas, Shannon Brownlee, and Jenna Pyzowski

Pottery and Ceramic Art Exhibition
Reception: Saturday, December 6, 5-7PM
On View: December 6, 2025 - December 27, 2025
Tuesday - Sunday: Noon-6 PM (Sunday-Tuesday: Appointment Only)

Hosted by Gallery 60 NYC in collaboration with the New England Wood Firing Conference , we are thrilled to present Fiat Ignis III: Let There Be Fire, the third annual group exhibition of wood-fired ceramic artworks. Wood firing is an unpredictable and intensive process that involves feeding a kiln with wood over many days and nights, allowing heat, ash, and flame to uniquely mark each piece. The resulting surfaces are impossible to replicate through modern methods, showcasing organic finishes that range from delicate to bold. The artists in Fiat Ignis III push the boundaries of this technique, demonstrating its versatility in both finely detailed functional pottery and expressive abstract forms.

Artists:
Claire Engelhardt , Yuri Gershtein , Riley Walzer , Gabriel Cordero , Brendan Shanahan .where, Pascal Chmelar , Shinobu Habauchi , Trevor Youngberg , Frank Olt , Mandy Henson , Dan Christoffel , and Kiichi
Takeuchi

Each artist brings their own unique approach to wood firing, with pieces that honor the ancient craft while
introducing contemporary techniques and perspectives.
