One of our instagram followers, Gretchen Scherer, asked herself what would our West Gallery look like if the entire collection were on view in that one space (point of info: in the 1930s when architect John Russell Pope was tasked by the board to convert the former Frick home into a museum, he added 2 galleries to help spread the collection a bit to avoid a SLIGHT case of double hanging there, nothing on this order). Our social media team really enjoyed this musing, which also reflects that the collection has grown over the years. Can you find your favorite works in this image? Are they where you'd put them, if we installed everything in just one room? (don't worry, we won't). I'm just over 4'11" and I'd definitely want to see my favorites closely...

Monya Rowe Gallery is excited to announce a major museum exhibition by ANGELA DUFRESNE at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City, Missouri. A 70-page catalog will accompany the exhibition.

The exhibition, titled "Angela Dufresne: Making A Scene", comprises more than thirty paintings and video works spanning nearly a decade. Focusing on her signature depictions of modern life, Dufresne (b.1969) compositionally connects us to the history of painting and cinema.

Angela Dufresne: Making A Scene is organized by the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, and curated by Erin Dziedzic, director of curatorial affairs.
