“Komar’s art has always functioned as subversion of any art used for brainwashing, what in today’s parlance would be ‘disinformation’, and the dangers of its public misuse - prostration before the icon as it miscegenates into the iconic”

“We learn by connecting images that we see and hear then try to understand the interdependency of them. When we understand the interdependency, we always have to communicate that” – Edwin Schlossberg. A glimpse into our March 28 panel discussion at Ronald Feldman Gallery, with Edwin Schlossberg joined by Eleanor Heartney, George Musser in conversation with moderator Lara Pan. Together, they explored the intersections of art, science, perception, and communication to unpack how meaning is shaped through these evolving disciplines

Feldman Gallery is saddened by the loss of artist Yishay Garbasz who recently passed away in Berlin, Germany. A fierce advocate of trans rights, Yishay engaged in activism daily by asserting her gender across geographical and cultural boundaries. Through photography, video, and sculpture, Yishay dedicated herself to the study of trauma, politics, and power on the body as lived experience. Yishay presented her transformed body alongside the markers of historic authoritarian control. She traveled to places that embody the perilous perpetuated divisions marked on buildings and landscapes, amid ecology’s cyclical degradation and regeneration, transposing trauma from beyond the body to the land. Feldman gallery has had the honor of showing Yishay’s work since 2010 in solo and group exhibitions. Visit the link in bio for more information about the artist’s lasting legacy
