Panel Discussion with Linda Stein, Dr. Eva Fogelman, and Dr. Rochelle Saidel on Linda Stein's Spoon to Shell sculptures in relation to the themes of Power and Vulnerability.

Inspired by the story of a holocaust survivor, Stein blends spoon and shell into an amalgam of materials to create her sculptures and addresses themes of physical and emotional abuse.

Photographer Neil Folberg was born in America but moved to Israel in 1979. Critics have described his starry night landscapes, set in the ancient ruins and scenes of the Middle East, as ravishing. He photos capture sites never seen before and we are proud to show several of these amazing works as a part of our current exhibition "East Meets West” on view through April 16.

Builder Levy is a social realist who is interested in people and their enduring humanity.

About his work, Builder has said: "As an artist, I needed to find a way to have a direct connection to these and other social realities, including those experienced in my thirty-five years as a New York City teacher of at-risk adolescents. With the camera I was able to immerse myself directly into real life itself. I could abstract, compose, and intensify aspects of often chaotic, fluid reality within the rectangle of my viewfinder."

Builder Levy's work is featured in "East Meets West" now on view at Flomenhaft.

It was our privilege since 2005 to represent the art of the late Miriam Schapiro. Her paintings "Fresh Air (1957)" and "Time (1988-1991)" are currently on view as apart of our annual Women Only exhibition.
