While may seem like something new, it can be traced back to 2009 as a DIY project by a member of the ( ). Dubbed the , Carlos49 wasn't able to replicate the device commercially, and this model didn't take off, but **ers wanted to get their hands on this device. The JuiceBox paved the way for what is considered THE FIRST SUCCESSFUL commercial SQUONK mod, the 'REO'. is seen here.

The REO was created by another member of E-Cigarette Forum in 2010 and quickly fueled the desire for more mods.

These devices are still popular today for their durability and fine craftsmanship, though the drawbacks of a fully operation system, a limitation on the style and availability of and the fact that they can only house a single #18650 cell limits their appeal to novice **ers who've transitioned during the era of computer-controlled multi-cell **emods with pre-built and adjustable power and temperature settings.

Sigelei Snowwolf 218W, 3x18650 mod.

The dimensions of the Sigelei Snowwolf 218W, at its widest points, are 42.1 x 51.7 x 96.5 mm. It had the same board that was in the Sigelei 213 but tweaked to actually output 218 Watts + it had temp control improvements!

With three 18650 batteries installed, it weighs in at around 300 grams. It’s bigger than the Reuleaux (🖼 mod in background.), but thanks to the ALUMINUM body, it's - lighter. It was competing against the Tempest, Reuleaux, Primus and other three-cell devices.

Joyetech eVic VTC Mini KIT - 75W device with TRON-S atomizer on top of it.

There were also kits with Joyetech's eGO One Mega atomizers, just as there was TRON-T version of atomizer.

All of them used very popular coils, where 'R' stands for: rebuldable. You could toss them away, but, if you were patient enough (since everything's small.) you could also: re-use them. They were cheap AND good.

VTC Mini certainly is on the "THRONE", in a way: so many of us had one! Elegant, durable, pocketable, single 18650 mod thats, in terms of features, on par with today's single cell mods.

Joyetech stopped manufacturing it about a year ago (somewhere in late 2016/Q1 2017.) but I'm quite sure that many of us still have one and enjoy using it.

is ONE OF THE OLDEST **eGear makers, together with (), , and few others. Today, I admire 's (Q1) 2015 mod, called:

Sigelei Mini ( ) 30W.

You can see it coupled with GT V2 tank ( ) from the same time period, 2014/15.

This single-18650 Sigelei's worked great, was tiny but heavier (ideal grip!) and most certainly provided PLENTY OF JOY ( **e) to many 's , Taifun, or 's users who used their somewhere between 8-15 range.

Just as Sigelei does today, their devices (even then.) had that "something EXTRA" - in this mod's case: "premium", elegant feel for affordable price.

Sigelei was (and still is!) known for making beautiful ➕ quality v**e hardware, that rarely leaves any **er: dissatisfied. Way to go, Sigelei! ♥️

Without actual product - , it was impossible to combat ***co addiction and offer **ng alternative. Just imagine how many lives could have been saved if we had any sort of **eGear back in 1960s or, better yet - 1930s.

PATENT WARS happen even today - Big to***co is a key player.

It is perhaps a truism that when big to***co marches in, its lawyers are never far behind. So it is proving with . In November 2013 Fontem (Netherlands-based subsidiary of Britaind Imperial To***co) paid $75 million for a portfolio of global patents from Dragonite International, a -based firm. 's co-founder is . Mr. Lik has been credited with the invention of the modern , initially using a piezoelectric ultrasound element to ***rise a solution containing purified ****ne. Todays are simpler, using a battery-powered heating element ( , part of tank - ) as a ***riser. But Mr Lik was canny. He registered (and won!) patents around the World that cover far broader concepts, concepts of "aerosol ", "electronic atomization " and simply "electronic cigarette".

These were purchased early 2015 and have been in boxes for well over 2 years!

For me, the Subtank Mini gave Sub Ohm va**ng to the masses and it done very very well. And, for a built in battery mod, the iStick 50w had superb battery life 💪🏻 - it still works! Dedicated to: ***r & .norman

Aspire CF Sub Ohm Battery was 22mm in diameter, and was designed to work PERFECTLY with tank.

The sleek design owes much to its beautiful, carbon fibre surface, don't you agree?

It was scratch resistant, had (enough!) safety protections, spring-loaded 510 connector, battery vent holes, 2000mAh... Everything it needs to be useful and usable even TODAY.

The 60W was designed by and was one of the cooler temperature control when it appeared in 2015. It was stylish that supported made out of and Titanium.

Mod used a single #18650 battery, had TC range 100-315°C, and a resistance range of 0.06 - 2.0 (TC: Ni mode) or 0.1 - 2 ohms in VW mode.

Today, manufacturers exaggerate and rate single 18650's at 100, 125 or even more Watts. Back in the days there was no "Watt-chasing" and Koopor was rated accurately, at sixty Watts.
