AP SPACE is pleased to invite you to the opening reception of In Bloom, a solo exhibition by Alexander Varvaridze, on March 5, 2026, at our gallery (555 W 25th Street, New York).

In In Bloom, Varvaridze explores the duality of being through a compelling body of abstract and figurative works. His abstract canvases serve as a space of pure energy and meaning—expressing the world of ideas, deep emotions, and spiritual pursuits. Through layered oil paint and additional materials, he builds natural textures and subtle reliefs that activate tensions and harmonies between matte surfaces and organic patterns. In contrast, his recurring image of the “woman on the couch” embodies earthly existence and quiet introspection. The figure and sofa merge into a single architectural form, dissolving into atmosphere and conveying submerged emotions—moments of rest, joy, and profound melancholy. Together, these works form a harmonious whole, reflecting the dual principles that shape our world.
