⭐️Greetings from Zug, where Frederick Kiesler’s “Arch as a Rainbow of Shells“ (1960-65), one of his masterpieces, is about to be installed, marking its first public appearance since the 1980s.⭐️

⭐️Until recently, all published pictures depicted it solely in black and white. However, by employing various types of metal and finishes, Kiesler consciously introduced color into this monumental sculpture. By showcasing numerous paintings and sculptures that have either been insufficiently documented or never before exhibited, “Frederick Kiesler: Us, You, Me” promises to redefine Kiesler scholarship. ⭐️ Opening on February 24, 2024, at ⭐️

We are so pleased to include the work of Christiane Löhr in our booth at this week.
If you know our gallery, you know we’ve long championed her work, but always nice to see with fresh eyes!

Löhr’s playful and meticulous observance of Nature transmutes perfectly into delicately woven, spellbinding sculpture.
A sensitive trace of our (human) race, temporary, yet indelible.
Her explorations with sculpture largely informs her larger two-dimensional works on paper.

Kevin King is one of our favorite artists. Take a look behind the scenes at how he works…
Inspired largely from nature, Kevin incorporates elements from the fallen and living world around him, to create intimate and cherished paintings using oil on copper; but even making the copper at times appear like paint.
As he ventures and wanders in Nature, elements jump out at him, sometimes dead birds find him, sometimes a mushroom or an insect. He meticulously studies them and brings them into his home to replicate them in study and many eventually find their way into his dioramas, which he builds out, paints and lights, before ‘immortalizing’ into a painting.

His studies and process are almost equally as impressive as his finished works, almost.

To see more of his process, you can visit “Touch Nature” at until February 25
Or come to our gallery in the Fuller building where we keep his work on display in our backroom - by appointment.

In the West, we have a tendency to perceive Art first rationally; through our eyes.
In the East, Art is experienced differently; aesthetics are absolutely essential, but receiving them, in a physical sense is equally important.

The pairing of tea, with art, is not new.
It’s an ancient practice that through an empty cup and our second mind, our stomach, the alchemy of our experience can be something more.

In continuing our celebration of 100 years of Masayuki Nagare (1923 - 2018), we’ve invited Tea Specialist to help curate a pop-up tea salon here at the gallery that will be open this week, pairing tea and art in juxtaposition to Nagares’ oeuvre.

For a unique experience, please join us at the gallery, tea will be served by appointment.

1 week only, Tue - Sat, Noon - 6pm
RSVP suggested - [email protected]
