Friends, there is a bad actor out there (too many actually) that created a Robert Newman account and is sending out friend requests. You are already my friend so do not accept him, I have changed my password and my profile picture. I see his account does not have a profile picture at all. Stay safe and thanks to all who notified me.

LUIGI LUCIONI
(1900-1988)

This etching from 1929 is entitled “Near the Window.” There is no known edition – only proofs. The WASHINGTON SQUARE ARCH can be seen through the window.

“My chief desire in art...is to paint not what I see but what I know and feel about objects and nature. I try to create objects that have an existence of their own, landscapes that have space, and solid forms and figures that have life and vitality. I love detail, but not for its own sake, but as a part of big masses and design.”
