Landmark West! Wishes you a Happy Pride! We wanted to highlight some spots in the UWS that showcase our LBGTQ+ Community.

While walking down Columbus Ave, you may have noticed a bas-relief mural on 240 Columbus Ave facade. Artist Arturo Martin, depicted the mural based on the sugar cane field from his native country of Cuba. He also modeled the worker in the mural based on his lover. The mural was almost removed but was saved after campaigns by LW!, the Cuban Center of New York and an UWS resident.

Happy and thank you to everyone who showed up to our Art Deco Walk yesterday! To continue the Art Deco spirit we are taking a look at this door at 35 West 90th Street.

Built in 1931 by architects Robert T. Lyons, the building is constructed out of Brick, Ironwork, Stone, and Terra Cotta. It is also apart of the Upper West Side/Central Park West Historic District ensuring the art deco facade will continue to be celebrated.

Happy ! This week we take a look at this majestic door on 322 West 80th St.

This door is constructed in an Elizabethan Renaissance Revival style, made out of Roman Brick, which takes inspiration from a variety of architectural styles. It was designed by Clarence True and built between 1898 - 1899. The detail on the arch and side posts bring 🌟whimsical vibes🌟 to the UWS!

Join LW! and Tony Robins on a stroll along Central Park West. Here we will get a closer look at the buildings that form Manhattan's major residential skyline. We visit the great twin-towered skyscraper-apartment buildings and other multi-colored jazz-age fantasies of high living overlooking the Park.

Happy ! Today we will be taking a look at this magnificent door from 131 Riverside Drive, otherwise known as The Dorchester.

This lovely building was constructed between 1908 - 1909 and was designed by Neville & Bagge. The style they opted for was Neo-Renaissance which incorporates many ornate details that emphasize symmetry and classical motifs.

Thanks to The Dorchester the UWS continues to have that classical and historic essence that makes people want to stay! 🌟
