All of Ellen Mandelbaum’s work is about light. ” I paint with light. My stained glass glows with transmitted light and color. I make gilding with the sweep of my hand, so it reflects light. In my watercolors, I respond tthe light that gives form to a transcendent landscape. I hope my work offers the possibility of focus and serenity in a stressful world.”

Ellen Mandelbaum is internationally recognized for her innovative architectural stained glass. Her commissions include a 30-foot high window for The South Carolina Aquarium, and others in Hawaii, Minneapolis, Maryland, and New York. She received The Lifetime Achievement Award from the Stained Glass Association of America and The Religious Art Award from The American Institute of Architects. As a member of the Women’s International Glass Workshop, Ellen has exhibited all over theworld.

John Connors
"I have been an artist all my life. My physical, emotional, financial, and psychological circumstances have always been determining factors of what kind of art I make. Along the way I have explored many different approaches and materials in making art, be it figurative, abstract, non-objective, narrative, erotic or neurotic, but at the end of the day I always seem to bounce back to my love of urban life and street scenes and working on fine paper with watercolor."

After his military years, John Connors studied at The Art Students League of New York on, and mentored under Robert Beverly Hale. He received a four-year Certificate of Completion in Fine Arts Painting. He also had extensive studies in Japanese brush painting (sumi-e) at the School of Koho in New York and The Edo Cultural Center in Tokyo, Japan. He also studied color at Malden Bridge, New York with Betty Warren.
John has several publications to his name, A City in Color, NewYork, NewYork (self-published) and The Artist From Troy (SUNY Press). He has exhibited extensively both in the United States and abroad.
