The Michael Ingbar Gallery began in 1986 and focused on showing and representing primarily abstract, non-representational work. A transition came about ten years later that shifted the intent of the gallery to show work depicting imagery solely of New York City. Since this transformation in 1992, we have shown and represented many artists including painters, sculptors, photographers and printmaker
s. It is our goal as a gallery to explore architecture from an artistic standpoint, focusing on its value as a creative expression. Our efforts have primarily been aimed at heightening public awareness and appreciation for the rich architectural heritage of New York City, as well as the value of its historical preservation.
