Adorno ADORNO presents Locally Curated Collections from distinct design communities around the world Launching in Spring 2017.

ADORNO International Design Collaboration is a network of designers and curators from design communities around the world. Our goal of the collaboration is to empower designers and design communities and to contribute to a more culturally diverse world. We’re building a platform for Curators, Designers, Collectors and Design Enthusiasts to meet. Over the next 12 months, curators from 20 design des

tinations around the world will present a portfolio from leading designers from each of their regions. Design enthusiasts and collectors are invited to join the collaboration on this journey where the best of contemporary collectible design-art, new trends and styles will be exhibited in the gallery on a regular basis. We will host digital design-art exhibitions, always curated exclusively for Adorno by leading design curators. The selected curators involved are all design experts from each respective design region they represent; internationally recognized for their work with designers and impact on local design communities. Adorno provides the infrastructure for this unique collaboration; the digital platform with portfolios, gallery and editorial content, a global shipping solution, and the promotional activities of the collaboration. We facilitate a new network and marketplace to empower local design communities. First up we will present curated design portfolios and online exhibitions from Amsterdam, Istanbul, Brussels, Copenhagen and Sao Paulo available exclusively on adorno.design. Everything will always be unique, limited and small scale. We remain critical and inclusive by the process of curation, yet we always make sure you deal directly with the designer.

Martin & Me High Gloss Two Piece Bar by Toro Manifesto

A tête-à-tête bar inspired by 1970s Chicago — and by the designer's brother, who cherished late nights with a glass of whiskey. Crafted from solid walnut slats with recessed spacing, curved flexible plywood finished in seven layers of high-gloss lacquer, and brushed steel details under a transparent electrostatic coating.

Handmade in a Mexico City workshop devoted to collectible cabinetry and author-driven craft. Comes in two parts.

Dyptich Wall Sconce by SIGNATURE OBJECTS

This limited-edition collectible design duo reflects on the past years since the COVID-19 outbreak, a time when uncertainty reshaped our collective experience. The series of objects prompts reflection on society’s relationship with fear, division, and the growing skepticism surrounding science.
Crafted through a blend of handcrafts and computer design, using materials such as aluminum, acrylic, and custom LED light sources, the work incorporates 3D-printed elements sourced from recycled medical packaging waste, merging sustainability with conceptual storytelling. By elevating these objects into near-sacred symbols, the piece explores the intersection of design, technology, and cultural memory.

Stool No:01 by Od Studio

Stool Collection explores the relationship ceramics establish with furniture through form, use, and experience. The collection consists of two stools with heights of 32 and 42 cm, along with tables that complete the family, and is designed for outdoor use. While addressing the suitability of ceramics for both indoor and outdoor environments at a domestic furniture scale, it reveals the unexpected seating comfort of a material typically perceived as hard and fragile. The ergonomic form offers the user a level of comfort not usually associated with ceramics. The rhythmic perforations on the surface give the series a graphic character while also allowing for rainwater drainage. Adapting to different usage scenarios, the collection can be used on terraces, balconies, gardens, and indoor spaces. Thanks to its glazed surface, it can be customized through color and finish options according to different user profiles, spaces, and projects.

Matera Side Table In Marble Verde Lepanto by MERCOEUR EDITION

Matera is a contemporary furniture collection in which structure is not applied to the material, but emerges from it. Hollowed out, carved from the mass, each piece appears revealed rather than constructed.
Echoing the rock-hewn dwellings of Matera and Petra, the collection operates within a logic of contemporary archaeology. It presents furniture shaped through subtraction, where the material itself carries the memory of gesture and territory.

Metalmorphosis Studio, Italy

Founded by Italian designer and sculptor Andrea Nicolini, Metalmorphosis Studio is an avant-garde design practice operating at the intersection of sculptural art, Post-Human Influences and brutalist architecture. The studio challenges conventional domestic landscapes by forging high-end collectible furniture and objects that transcend mere functionality. Nicolini’s vision is deeply rooted in a distinctive \"post-human\" aesthetic; a rigorous, unyielding exploration of pure geometry, anatomical forms, and industrial heritage. The studio specializes in the masterful manipulation of heavy industrial metals, working extensively with stainless steel and forged metal. Through meticulous craftsmanship, these unforgiving, raw materials are transformed into refined, monolithic pieces that command the spaces they inhabit. The resulting works are characterized by stark silhouettes, clean volumes, and a profound respect for the inherent, tactile qualities of metal.

Elefante- Brazilian Wood Chair by Estúdio Ramiros

The Elephant Chair was born from the desire to create a piece of great presence, capable of conveying strength, weight, and a certain sense of brutality through its form. The intention was to create a contrast between the imposing structure and the delicacy of a curve, transforming the chair into a sculptural presence.

The reference to the elephant appears mainly in the rear of the piece, where the curve evokes the animal’s trunk. This form, sculpted by hand, creates a soft and fluid gesture that contrasts with the strength and volume of the structure.
