FormLAB

FormLAB FormLAB (Formlaboratory.com) is a nomadic museum exhibition series (USA, SIngapore, France, Korea, Brazil and …Mongolia in 2014.

Founded by New York artist Les Joynes (US) in 2007, FormLAB (Formlaboratory.com) is inspired by the inquisitive structures of archaeology and anthropology. Joynes and FormLAB create nomadic laboratories in museums and public spaces that reposition the way audiences perceive artworks both as objects in process and as fixed artifacts. Each LAB is unique as it mirrors the local topographies, urban st

ructures, movements and encountered people. FormLAB has exhibited at Museu Brasileiro da Escultura, Sao Paulo; Art & Culture Foundation, Seoul; Treignac Projet, France, and at spaces in Berlin and SIngapore as part of the Bauhaus Foundation's Kolleg Program. In 2014 FormLAB exhibits at the Zanabazar Museum of Fine Art in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia with support of the Mongolian Ministry of Culture, the Mongolian Arts Council and CEC Artslink, New York. Artist, Les Joynes is a graduate of Goldsmiths, University of London; Musashino Art University, Tokyo; and Central Saint Martins, London. He was Visiting Scholar in the School of Art and Department of Philosophy at Columbia University and is a research fellow on contemporary art practice at University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
