Thank you to all who came out to the artist talk yesterday and those of you who could not make it ,but, wished us well. I am so grateful!!! I learned so much about what I love about quilting during this exhibition and how I want to create the quilts that I make. I love narrative quilts. However, piecing is a top contendor. Lol! For those of you who have not seen the show yet, it is on view until December 30th. I guarentee that you'll have a really great experience!!

Those who really know me, know that plantbbased eating is a part of my everyday life. I am allergic to dairy, eggs and wheat. It has been more than three decades since finding out. However, I started eating a vegetarian diet more than four decades ago. Around this time of the year though, I miss lots of foods that I grew up eating. Sweet potato pie is one of them. This recipe is a compromise. It only has a crust on the bottom and I added chopped pecans to the crust. Once cooled, I will cut them into bars.

Making this fabric into a unit. Designed the quilt. Now, I am auditioning fabric. One of my favorite parts. I guess it is because I am forced to stretch my creative genius.
