Fou Gallery否画廊 Fou is an innovative, organic art community based in New York. fougallery.com

Founded in 2013, Fou is an innovative, organic art community located in a historic 1905 New York brownstone. Fundamentally believing that art is a way of life, Fou Gallery is dedicated to promoting the creative talents and projects of our time. Fou began with a basic recognition that contemporary art and culture must address critical real-life challenges faced by our society through holistic, sust

ainable, and spiritual practices. Fou represents an alternative to the commercial model of mainstream galleries, and serves as a habitat that nurtures a harmonious relationship between the earth and ourselves.

Highlighting 𝗦𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗻’s sculpture 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙖 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙠𝙮.✨

Serving as a central anchor for the immersive installation of the same name, this hand-built porcelain dome rests upon a mirrored base encircled by a deep blue crochet border — a recurring medium in Mallon’s practice that evokes domesticity and mending. The sculpture is bisected into a dualistic landscape: one side shrouded in glossy black glaze, scattered with the artist‘s signature buttons; the other rising into a pale, sun-drenched hill topped with tiny, fragile architectures. A delicate net-like bridge spans the divide — a tenuous but vital connection between disparate realms of the psyche.

✨𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 — ”To Wake Within the Dream“ by Zhiheng Ashley Zhang (Zhiheng Ashely Zhang) on Asian Art Contemporary

The review explores how A Waking Dream invites viewers not to wake from the dream, but to wake within it — through Wendy Letven‘s rhythmic fields, Davina Hsu’s luminous softness, and Sascha Mallon‘s wounded mythologie whos. Together, the three artists weave a shared interior landscape where the visible and invisible have always been touching 🌙

A Waking Dream is on view through June 24. Read the full review — link in bio.

🌿 Last Sunday, herbalist 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘁 guided us through an evening of plant wisdom, visionary tea, and hands-on blending — surrounded by the works of 𝘼 𝙒𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢.

Together we shared a visionary herbal infusion and crafted sacred smoke blends to take home — discovering how herbs like Mugwort, Lavender, and Ginkgo Biloba can support meditation, dreams, and intuition.

𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 is a visual anchor of “light body”—as a radiant, energetic form that exists within the physical self. The piece is born from a meditative vision. While light is often invisible under normal conditions, it remains undiminished. The work translates this metaphysical reality into a visual form, through soft and tactile quality to invite the viewer to feel and sense beyond the surface level of perception. The light within is both guiding and eternal. A conscious light force to the true north that provides direction and alignment to the soul.

Highlighting 𝗪𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝘁𝘃𝗲𝗻’s 𝑵𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝑭𝒂𝒍𝒍. ✨

In contrast to the emergence of light, 𝑵𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝑭𝒂𝒍𝒍 is a descent into the deep, rhythmic depths of the internal landscape. Here, the artist explores the “nocturnal theater” where symbols are most potent. The darker tones and interlocking shadows suggest a world where logic recedes and intuition takes over. The composition mirrors the shifting nature of subconscious thinking, where forms are not fixed but exist in a state of constant, fluid motion. It invites the viewer to surrender to the darkness, recognizing it not as a void, but as a fertile ground for the soul’s private navigation.

Highlighting 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗛𝘀𝘂’s 𝑨𝒅𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒅. ✨

𝑨𝒅𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒅 is a feeling form made manifest through deep meditation. The piece expresses the resonance of being adored as emotional texture, through felt perception that fuses with the visual. The piece is an invitation to embody loving awareness. adored aligns with both receiving and being as a state—when a singular point of perspective dissolves, it becomes a wave moving in both directions, an immersion that requires no chasing, only being in resonance.
