Jersey City Medical Center Sneaker Gala in full effect! Our team was proud to support our longstanding partners at JCMC & RWJBH as well as BBBS Advisory Board Member Suraj Kaufmans’s Sneaker Room Foundation while also having fun representing during the event with our BBBS green Nikes. BBBS was honored to host Jersey City Mayor Solomon and his wife at our table. Our CEO Carlos Lejnieks is JCMC’s immediate past Chairman and BBBS Trustee & Big Brother, Brett Harwood , was also past Chairman of JCMC.

Today was an inspiring day as our youth stepped onto the campus of American University.

We’re incredibly grateful to Senator Booker for making our DC experience unforgettable with his team hosting a tour of the Hart Senate Office Building and a powerful Q&A session with his staff, Dr. Juan Rios, who is a BBBS “alumni Little” from Jersey City. Dr. Rios spoke powerfully to our Littles about growing up from our communities and seeking pathways to higher education and career.

From our communities to college and career pathways, Juan reminded our Littles that their stories matter—and their futures are limitless. 💚

On March 27, volunteers from Fidelity’s Women in Technology and Women Leadership Resource Groups joined Cordero School (PS 37) in Jersey City (a BBBS school partnership led by Viviana Baeza & Shauntay Guions) for a special event, celebrating . Students explored curiosity, confidence, and STEM through Lauren Sánchez Bezos’ “The Fly Who Flew” series—helping them connect reading, leadership, and future possibilities
