๐ŸŽจ Step into the many lives of Thomas B. Pope at this yearโ€™s exhibit at the Crawford House.

Best known as one of Newburghโ€™s Hudson River School painters, Pope was far more than an artist. This exhibition explores his life and times through paintings from the HSNBH collection, select works on loan from private collectors, and artifacts, documents, and ephemera that help paint a fuller picture of a man deeply woven into a changing Newburgh.

Fireman, Civil War veteran, liquor store owner, photographer, journalist, magician, ice yachting enthusiast, and active community member, Thomas B. Pope lived many lives and left a lasting mark on our city.

With deep gratitude to HSNBH volunteers Kate Klein and Ava Rogers for curating this exhibit with such care. โœจ
