Mardilan Lee Georgio is a multimedia artist based in Southern California, who found her passion for creating fine art after raising her family of three sons with her college sweetheart.

She is known for portraiture, figures in motion, land and seascapes. A former dancer, she especially loves to paint entertainers of many different cultures with their colorful costumes.

Meet upcoming demo artist! 👩🏻‍🎨 ✍️🎨 Longtime SCAA member and former President!

From her roots in Chicago to her travels crafting silver jewelry, Meressa Naftulin has always been driven by a love for drawing, color, education, and nature. After earning her Fine Arts degree at SIU and eventually settling here in Santa Clarita, she found her creative home with SCAA.

“Drawing and painting are my go-to loves. I loved to draw as a child in Chicago and it’s something I’ve continued into adulthood. Sharing my craft with others allows me to use my Fine Arts and Education experience to encourage other artists to explore and get involved. I look forward to helping others in their discoveries and helping to build community.”

Meressa is bringing her lifelong passion for drawing and painting to this weekend’s reception! Come watch her process and get inspired! ✨

📣 Call To Artists & Save the Date! 🍊 It’s a Citrus Summer at SCAA! Think high-energy splashes and zesty blasts of color featuring citrus fruits and colors in summer-inspired subjects and media to bring the outside in!

We’re looking for original 2D and 3D artwork that celebrates the freshness of the summer season through citrus subjects, like textured lemon peels and sun-drenched oranges, or abstract works in tangy citrus-inspired palettes; vibrant yellows, limes, oranges, and the ruby reds or soft pinks of grapefruit and pomelo! (No video or AI)

The final day of Rustic Roots: The California West! 🏜️ Giddy on over today 11-5pm! We are proud to share the work of these 7 local artists. Their emotion and textures bring us right down home. ☺️🌵 Don’t miss it.

If you’re headed to Hart Park for the Cowboy Festival we are right on the way at 6th & Main. Take the shuttle or find parking in our local lot, walking distance to the park.

Congratulations to whose work, Grit and Grace, was voted Best in Show by reception guests! This stunner was also selected as the cover art for our Rustic Roots: The California West exhibit postcard. It is carefully custom framed in a gorgeous warm and fitting wood by her talented husband, Mike. MVP 🙌 🏆 2 of her pieces have already been scooped up! 🔥

This painting will don a ribbon throughout the show and Ginger will receive free entry into a future exhibit! 👏
