This piece titled SENSE OF AWE is from the artist Mixed Media Series that are created from copper and other unconventional materials.
Taraneh finds her mediums unpredictable and full of surprises. She feels as if the copper is alive and has its own intelligence. She allows the piece to guide her; however the final image reflects the materials innate qualities, as well as the artist's inspiration and feelings. Her unique artistic vision combines traditional Eastern soul with the Western mystery of abstraction.
The Alchemical pieces are made with copper and acrylic glass. Pieces in this series reach their final form from a few weeks to a few years where they continue to transform.
The techniques she implements are self-discovered through driven dedication and the careful mastery of her process over many years.
