Local fusion artist JANA BOUTWELL opens her showcase today. Colorful fish and striking objects are interesting and memorable.
Jana has been fusing glass for over 20 years with a home studio. She continues to learn new techniques and expressions.

This week's "gift area" offerings: Diana Perez has been putting together useful, bejeweled items for some time now, and loads of people have taken home a zipper pull she has made, but have you seen the key chains she's put together? You can really keep those rascal keys visible with one of her pretty jeweled keepers! Take a gander soon!

One of the most fun art assemblages I have seen recently is this glass jelly fish mobile put together by artist Linda Radcliff. The color is lovely and the tentacles are imitated by the reeds she used. I know she has other art pieces on display, as well. Come by the YAA Gallery and take a look!

Weekly feature from the "Gift" section of smaller items.

Purse lovers! Local artist Linda Devoy has taken some previously-owned "Patricia Nash" real leather handbags and embellished them very artistically to appeal to that special person who wants to add some panache to their accessories! Come by the gallery and check them out - one is shown below.

Tony Simon has produced some unique clay work. Shown below is a really interesting bird house for some lucky bird, or for a shelf that needs some character. Tony also makes some colorful rainbow bowls that you can see at the YAA Gallery in Nye Beach.

Weekly view from our "Gift" section of smaller items. Assemblage art is becoming more and more popular - using found items to create unique pieces like this one by Yaquina Art Association member Sue Adams' piece entitled "Adventure".

While we are on the topic of assemblage art, here is another fun piece by another 'Sue'! Sue Chittenden created "Sea, Shell and Sand" turning those very items and more, i.e. sea glass and driftwood, into a thing of beauty and a tribute to the Oregon seashore!

Stop in to see the work of the two Sues and another 108 local artists. Open every day from 11 - 5 through Labor Day.
