If you didn’t make it out to the tidepools today to take advantage of the lowest tides of the year, you can still come see some amazing sea creatures at the Hatfield Marine Science Visitor Center! We are open until 4 pm today and will be open seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm starting Memorial Day through Labor Day. Admission is just $5 and free for those age 4 and under!

We are running a Maritime Exploration and Training program with Oregon State University's Office of Marine Operations! High school students and recent graduates from Lincoln County and nearby areas are invited to this 5 day hands-on workshop at OSU Hatfield Marine Science Center. The course will provide basic seamanship skills, including at sea practice on small and midsized vessels, plus connections to maritime employers.

Applicants must be 16 years or older.

Did you know that the octopuses on exhibit at the Hatfield Marine Science Visitor Center are generously donated? We are currently looking for live octopus donations from crabbers, fishermen, divers and others who inadvertently catch these curious animals.

Please note that a state-issued shellfish license is required to make an octopus donation. Please contact 541-272-4207 or 801-556-8220 if you have an octopus to donate!
