🕊️ In Loving Memory of Roger Yost 🕊️
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Roger William Yost—an extraordinary visionary, international art collector, property owner, mentor, and dear friend to so many. Today, as we remember him, we also note that this would have been Roger’s 90th birthday, making this reflection on his life even more meaningful.
Roger lived a life driven by curiosity, generosity, and a deep belief in the power of art, design, and entrepreneurship to connect people across cultures and generations. Throughout his career—including his influential years with Jantzen and later through his stewardship of the historic Reed Opera House—Roger was a generous and thoughtful mentor. He believed deeply in nurturing talent, sharing hard-earned wisdom, and encouraging others to lead with vision and integrity.
His lifelong passion for art led him to build an international art gallery and a museum-caliber collection spanning more than 500 years of history, encompassing cultures and craftsmanship from around the world. He didn’t collect merely to possess, but to preserve, educate, and inspire—creating spaces where art, history, and community could truly thrive.
Through his commitment to preservation and thoughtful property ownership, Roger helped shape cultural landscapes and inspired those around him to think bigger, see possibility, and take risks in service of something meaningful. More than his accomplishments, he will be remembered for the time he gave, the doors he opened, and the confidence he instilled in others.
On this day, we celebrate his life, his vision, and the generosity of spirit he shared so freely.
đź’™ Forever remembered. Forever grateful.
As Roger would say… Onward.
