Braceville Community Foundation is partnering with Ohio History Connection by participating in Ohio Open Doors at the BAAHM (Braceville African American Heritage Museum) on Friday, September 11th and Saturday, September 12th from 1:00-4:00 each day, brought to you by the Ohio History Connection. Ohio "Open Doors" is a statewide event in which local sponsors open their historic buildings and landmarks to the public for tours and free programs. Almost every county in the 88 counties of Ohio are participating. Join us in honoring the history, designs and stories of our historic place! If you are interested in doing a Geneology search, Warren Trumbull County Public Library is hosting a class to get everyone started. Also, if you have a library card, you can use Ancestry free, but only at the library. Anyone, not only those who live in Trumbull County, can apply for a Library card. The second floor staff is very helpful! I speak from experience because I have asked many requests that they have fulfilled. They offer so many services! Check it out if you can.

Our 5K event had a small group, but we had great fun! We want to thank those who participated. After the 5K we went to Riverview to support the Braceville Fire Auxillary golf outing. They had many wonderful baskets to choose from with the basket raffle. We then went to the museum where we had some visitors. We had a very eventful day.
