I was invited to speak at the Niles Rotary Club meeting on the 25th at Cimmineros restaurant. We ate a delicious lunch, they held a short meeting preparing for their Strawberry festival this month. I shared about the BAAHM and enjoyed talking to the members. Kudos to the group for the scholarships, community support, and their contribution to eradicate global disease, particularly polio. I want to thank Carrie Kibbey and Belinda Weiss for inviting me. I enjoyed every moment!

Taste of Braceville, hosted by the Braceville African American History Museum.

This event is centered around bringing the community together while highlighting local businesses, food vendors, and entrepreneurs across the region. It’s a day focused on connection, culture, and creating space for small businesses to be seen and supported.

I just have to give a shout out to TCTC students who competed in a NATIONAL competition in Nashville, Tennessee last week and placed 2nd in 2D animation!!! My great nephew, Miciah, is on the left. Excellent job, team, in representing your school, county, and state!!

Braceville High School Alumni in the house! It was like a high school reunion! Merry Anne Hiland, Maureen Wilms, Janice Powell, and Terry Shavers graduated together in 1965, Karen Stroup was a year before them. Ted Toles III & Karen's grandson, Joshua. We had a great time with a museum tour and talking about school memories. It was so good to see everyone. ❤️

Trumbull Tourism Bureau had a 250 Celebration meeting at the McKinley House in Niles. After the meeting Carrie, from the Niles McKinley Library, gave us a tour of the house. It is a beautiful home with great artifacts, and so much interesting history of a man who became President of the United States. Thank you, Carrie!
