JOE ADOMAVICIA:
Joseph R. Adomavicia works as a CNC Machinist by trade and is a poet by passion. He is the author of 'A Step Into My Heart: Blackout Poetry Edition', 'Love Unbound: Blackout Poetry Edition', 'Sakura', 'The Foothold', 'Cerulean Wings: The Published Works', and 'Write to Me, Poetically'.

As an independent author, Joseph has spoken at high schools hoping to inspire young writers. He additionally hosts poetry events at local venues, showcasing his books at craft fairs, as well as on Amazon. Pulling inspiration from personal experiences and the world around him, he reads his passions for life and love off his pages to reach out and touch the hearts and souls of those who take the time to understand him through his unique writing style.

CHRIS BASSO:
Christian Basso is a writer with over twenty years of experience in the publishing world. After years of working behind the scenes and crafting several short stories, he is finally ready to share 'Beetlebum', the first book in the 'Down All the Days' series.

Christian’s journey to novel-writing has been full of valuable lessons, and 'Beetlebum' marks the beginning of a new chapter. When not at his keyboard, Christian enjoys the slower pace of life in the Hudson Valley, where he lives with his family, an ever-growing army of cats and dogs, and the constant reminder that there’s always a new story to tell.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR FAIR:
The Author Fair is a community-focused event celebrating writers and their work. Come and connect with visiting authors and engage in conversation about writing and storytelling.

Signed copies of the authors’ books will be available for purchase.

The Nonfiction Book Club meets the first Tuesday of each month. All are welcome.

Stop by the Circulation Desk for a copy of 'One Summer: America 1927' by Bill Bryson which chronicles the pivotal events and eccentric characters of that single summer, using it as a lens to view America's "Roaring Twenties" and its transition into the modern era.

This meeting will be held TOMORROW in the Genealogy Room of the library. Registration is not required.

For this session, we will be discussing the people that make up our families, our hobbies, how we spend holidays. Worksheets will be provided but please practice some key phrases and plan somethings you might say!

Are you looking to practice your Spanish? Solo-studying only gets you so far! Join us Tuesday, June 23, for this monthly language exchange at the library to practice speaking and brush up on your vocabulary!

This is a conversation group, not a language class. We will have a topic of the day, but participants will be engaging in their own unscripted discussions.

Intermediate to advanced learners are welcome to join. This program is not suited for complete beginners.

Join us TOMORROW, June 2, for this fascinating presentation by John Cilio!

Roger Sherman's foray into politics began with his election to the Connecticut General Assembly in 1755. During the tumultuous years leading up to the American Revolution, Sherman stood unwavering in his support for independence from British rule. His discriminating insight and commitment to public service soon propelled him onto the national stage as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention in 1787. His wealth of life experiences and keen legal mind, combined as a statesman and politician, provided the opportunity to be a signer of all four of the most important documents in American history.

He was known for his sharp wit and keen intellect, a master of debate and negotiation, often mediating disputes between his fellow founding fathers. His ability to see both sides of an argument and find common ground made him an invaluable asset to the fledgling nation. Sherman's personal life was as intriguing as his political career; married to Elizabeth Hartwell, they raised a family of seven children.

Join our storyteller, John Cilio, who lives in Sherman, CT, as he explores a true American hero, a man with a legacy of service to his country and the betterment of his fellow citizens.

The chbMAKERS’ Corner introduces a new eColor+ Printer to expand creative printing options!

The Library is pleased to announce a new addition to the Makerspace: the eColor+ printer by Presentation Systems, Inc. This advanced printer significantly expands the creative and practical printing options available to patrons. Use of the eColor+ printer is available by appointment only.

With the new eColor+ printer, patrons can now produce high-quality banners, yard signs, posters, award plaques, decals, and wall murals. This equipment is ideal for community groups, small businesses, students, educators, and individuals looking to create professional-grade visual materials. Fees apply to cover the cost of materials.

This new offering reflects the Library’s ongoing commitment to providing innovative tools and resources that support creativity, learning, and community engagement.
