Hamilton County Artists' Association The Hamilton County Artists' Association nurtures emerging, mid-career, and professional artists. The HCAA is a vital part of the arts in Hamilton County.

Hamilton County Artist's Association (HCAA) is the original juried fine arts organization in Hamilton County, Indiana. We've been around since 1950 and our organization is a 501c3 non-profit organization run by all volunteers. It is made up of selected artists from Indiana towns in Hamilton County such as Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Westfield and many others.

Whether you're layering oil paints, crafting characters, or just want to get away from your kids and be around creative energy, this is your space to: work on your current piece (or just pretend to - we won't judge), swap tips, tricks and inspiration with fellow artists, chat and enjoy the creative chaos together. Join us at the HCAA Birdie Gallery for Painting Sunflowers with Jessica Green on Saturday, June 13th 9am-2pm! This one-day summer workshop is a welcoming introduction to gouache painting on canvas. We’ll cover the essential fundamentals (tools, color mixing, brush techniques, and composition) while you create several small paintings of your own! The goal is to equip you with the skills and confidence to keep painting after the class and to have a great time doing it. Perfect for beginners or anyone wanting a fresh, creative boost! ONE WEEK until the opening reception of our HCAA Emeritus Artist Member Exhibit at the HCAA Birdie Gallery located at 195 S. 5th Street in Noblesville, IN! This reception is part of the June First Friday events in Noblesville and will be from 6pm-8pm on June 5th. Many of the artists will be at the reception and three will be doing live artwork demonstrations: Lesley Haflich, Stephen Edwards, & Walt Thacker!

The HCAA Birdie Gallery is SO excited to host a 4 day Still Life Painting Workshop with Regina Lyubovnaya this summer Thursday - Sunday July 23-26, 2026 from 9:00am - 4:00pm with registration due by June 30, 2026.

HCAA Juried Artist member Michael Levine had this to say about Regina's workshops: "I have been to three workshops with Regina and find her teaching method highly effective in explanation and by demonstration of the concepts presented. I learned the fundamental tools needed to create a painting and a process by which to use them. This can be applied to any painting idea you are trying to create. By understanding the painting process, you will learn to see the logic of painting and develop a ‘personal process’ that will fundamentally improve your artwork!"

Returning on June 12th 6:30pm-8pm to the HCAA Birdie Gallery is fan favorite Jessica Green Artwork with her workshop, Get Creative with Gelli Printing with Jessica Green! This workshop is open to ages 14+. Gelli plate printing is a form of process art that is engaging and approachable for artists at all levels! Finished pieces can be framed as abstract art or made into cards, bookmarks, or gift tags. Register under Classes on our website!
