The Eloise Hunter Chapter of the Victorian Society in America is based out of the Hunter House Victorian Museum in Norfolk, Virginia. Named for the youngest daughter of the Hunter family and the founder of the museum, the Eloise Hunter Chapter, Victorian Society in America was founded in Norfolk in 1990. Annually the chapter meets approximately 10 times during the year for a series of lectures, ex

cursions and social events. Recent programs have included lectures on Victorian matrimonial advertising, an annual meeting, and an Open House event. The chapter is planning on a number of lectures for the summer followed by tours of the Hunter House Victorian Museum, Elmwood Cemetery, and Olde Town Portsmouth in the Fall. The holidays will be ushered in by a "Dessert with Dickens" event, holiday house tours, and an afternoon tea at the Pagoda Restaurant in Norfolk. Dues are $15 per person; $20 for a family. Dues may be paid by cash, check, or money order. Sorry, we cannot accept credit cards. Checks can be made payable to EHC-VSA and mailed to the Hunter House Victorian Museum at 240 W.
