Introducing Pennsylvania artist Lauren Kindle and 3 lovely little collages. Framed, $300 each🌺
“I love working with collage because it’s a playful process. I feel like I’m back in kindergarten with my scissors and glue, and I’m just having fun! I use pieces of paper which I have painted beforehand with acrylic paints, and it’s just a matter of cutting out shapes and placing pieces next to each other, letting the composition evolve naturally. The three peony collages currently hanging at Carrie Coleman Fine Art are inspired by flowers that my friend Katy gave me back in early June. I set up three separate arrangements in glass ball jars in my studio and worked over a period of 3 days, working on all three simultaneously, back and forth from one to the next. My favorite color shines in each one: that hot fluorescent pink color makes me so happy. My intention with these three pieces is to encourage the viewer to slow down and see peonies in a whole new way, and to elevate a simple moment of beauty.”
