Artist Peter Paul Bruno is a citizen of the Potawatomi Nation. Growing up in a small town in Oklahoma and on the Navajo reservation in Arizona were important inspirational factors for Bruno. Exploring the relationships between the land, people and spirit world, Bruno captures the richness of First American culture. Pictured here is his piece titled “Shaman’s Journey” (24x36).

Come and see some of my artwork at the Exhibit C Gallery

Exhibit C Gallery proudly introduces a new exhibition celebrating the strong link between nature and First American culture. “Our Inheritance” brings together unique and personal interpretations of landscapes by artists Brent Brander (Chickasaw), Alexandra Brodt (Choctaw), Peter Paul Bruno (Potawatomi) and Topaz Jones McCoy (Western Shoshone). From vibrant mesas to other-worldly terrains, these artists offer a glimpse into the rich subliminal ties and lasting significance the land has in native cultures. “Our Inheritance” will be displayed from July 1 to October 31, 2023.
