Roses Winter Prep for Fall

• Avoid pruning within 6 weeks of the first expected frost
• Do not fertilize 6 weeks before the first expected frost date.
• Mulch your roses if you haven't done so already!
• Do not avoid watering roses as temperatures get cooler.
• Water fully whenever the top three inches of soil is dry
• Deeply water roses just before the first expected frost date.

My first monarch butterfly of the year- I have 8 mini butterfly bushes along the front walk to the house. It feels like being in a Disney movie at times with lots of assorted butterflies and such…there’s this one swallowtail that HATES Bill, I never saw a butterfly dive bomb anyone, but this one goes after Bill EVERY day! So, they’re good for a daily giggle too- who knew?

My newest addition for my animalia collection- check it out!

Sweet friends sharing the afternoon sunshine- I was inspired to paint this as a celebration of friendship and how true friends can overcome ANY obstacles. I absolutely love this pairing of cat and dog and how trusting they are of one another- true friends indeed! A great card to send for brightening
