Two interesting history programs - check them out!

On May 5th at 6pm, the North Haven Memorial Library is having a program called "The Enduring Legend of Leatherman". Local podcaster Mike Allen will be hosting a talk on this local legend! https://northhaven.librarycalendar.com/event/leatherman-31430

On May 14th at 6pm, the library is also offering a program called "From Liberty to Legacy: Exploring American Ideals in the Musicals 1776 and Hamilton". This is part of our 250th program series. This run passed through North Haven today - right past the colonial-era Rising Sun Tavern!

"On April 4, 2026, Scottish Rite Freemason Patrick Atkinson is launching the Revolutionary Run, a 333-mile fundraising run from the Valley of Wilmington, DE, to Lexington, MA. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library, this journey highlights the role Freemasons played in the American Revolution.

Key Details of the Revolutionary Run:
Route: Wilmington, DE (Grand Opera House) to Lexington, MA.
Purpose: Fundraising for the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library and honoring 250th-anniversary history.
Runner: Patrick Atkinson, an experienced long-distance runner.
Kick-off: April 4, 2026, with a celebration at the Grand Lodge of Delaware (818 N. Market St.) at 11:30 AM.
Highlights: The run connects areas of historic significance during the American Revolution, including the Lexington area, a focal point for Revolutionary history.
