Celebrate our 10th year with a space made just for adults to slow down, create, and grow. Our long-running adult art class welcomes both beginners and intermediate painters, guided by the wonderful Ms. Susan—an experienced artist and educator with decades of teaching experience.

From color theory and brushwork to composition, proportion, and layering, each session is designed to build confidence while helping you develop your own personal style in a relaxed, inspiring environment.

Started another still life painting yesterday during the snowstorm- so relaxing.
I will finish it tomorrow. Today was cooking & shoveling day.

Here is the progress after working on it yesterday, still not done.  the right side the painting is still clear to me on how I want to resolve it whether the money tree will stay in it or not -we’ll find out . the sun was out. I need to put it aside and work on it when the sun‘s out again. Today I’m starting a snowstorm painting with a different vase of flowers, while it’s snowing out the window.

The stages of a garden painting:
I decided to do an underpainting and like a garden montage. I worked on it for 3 days so far, 5-6 hours each day. One more session is needed
when the morning glories are in bloom. The painting is large- 30”x 40”. I was lucky to have three wonderful days of sun and less heat.
I just love painting out in nature. There’s nothing like it!
