Located in the artists’ hub of downtown Northampton, MA, Happy La Peartree is a creative space and art gallery meant to foster happiness through free, creative expression. Following happiness has always been a way of life for owner and artist, Amanda LaMontagne, and since creating and sharing art brings her true bliss, she has decided to open her own gallery and teaching space. e, Lamontagne creates and displays her own art, and also offers a variety of art classes to the community. Classes are tailored to different learning types and are designed to give students the knowledge, confidence, and most importantly, the freedom to create whatever they desire. Throughout the years, LaMontagne has worked with charcoal, sculpted foam core, and pen and ink, but in the last few years has developed a deep love for acrylic painting. Her work is inspired by a variety of topics such as nature, social inequality, and vibrant, memorable personalities.
