We are the Black Warrior Model Railroad Club located in the Historic Northport Train Depot at 725 - 25th Ave.
Northport, Alabama. We are open every Sat. 10am till 1pm with FREE ADMISSION. We survive financially (heating, cooling, lights and insurance) on donations by
cash check or credit cards. Membership Fees cover building & maintaining our layouts. Currently our Christmas decorations are still up thru Jan. 10th.

Please come visit us at the Historic Northport Train Depot year round on Saturdays 10am till 1pm.
Admission is FREE to watch us run 5 to10 model trains
of 3 sizes at the same time. If you are lucky you may get to see a real full size train go by during your visit.

Yesterday, we enjoyed hosting the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI at UA) from the University of Alabama for a field trip! Members were able to learn about model railroading and railroad history while even being treated to a real train passing by!

We enjoyed the opportunity to host and feed the participants in the NARCOA excursion over the Alabama Southern Railroad on Saturday!

Here’s a few photos from their stop! Although their excursion was a special treat, you can still see 1:1 scale trains operating by the depot daily!

Join us again Saturday during regular operating hours (10AM-1PM) and check out all sizes of trains from 1:87 to 1:1 scale!

Just a reminder to join us for our OPEN HOUSE this Saturday, April 15th starting at 10AM!

BWMRRC will be operating extended hours beginning at 10AM and lasting into the evening as we anticipate the arrival of the North American Rail Car Associations' (NARCOA) excursion over the Alabama Southern Railroad. You can learn more about this private excursion via narcoa.org

Model trains will be running all day, and our caboose will be open for tours! We hope to see you at the depot!
