Norton MA Historical Society

The Norton Historical Society preserves the town's history, and offers an ever growing museum.

The Norton Historical Society is more than just a place that you drive by on Main Street. It opens a door to the past through the fascinating objects in the museum and the many rooms to explore; the vast array of documents to explore and perhaps conduct family research or maybe just learn more about your neighborhood. There are monthly meetings and programs and offers a chance to get to know your neighbors. If you haven't visited, you don't know what you are missing out on!

The Norton Historical Society will be closed Monday, September 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen on Wednesday. Have a happy and safe Labor Day! And don't forget to stop by on Saturday, Sept. 12th during our Flea Market at the Old Schoolhouse at 18 West Main St.

The bad news is summer is almost over. The good news is the Norton Historical Society will be holding the first of two fall Flea Markets soon. The first is on Saturday, Sept. 12th and the second is on Saturday, Oct. 3rd. If you are interested in being a vendor for either one (or both!) , check out our flyer for more details.

The Norton Historical Society will be closed July 6th & 8th for a short summer break. We will reopen on Monday, July 13th.

The Norton Historical Society is at the Founder's Day celebration at the Yelle School today, Saturday, June 27. Come by and say "Hi." We are located at the flag pole near the Superintendent's Office.
