This CSX train came into Norwich on Monday (Dec 4, 2023), hauling two hopper cars filled with ballast from Binghamton to Utica. It's been five years since they ran the last train through Norwich. The next one may be in 2028.

NORWICH – On Monday, December 4, New York Susqehanna and Western (NYS&W) Railway ran a train through Norwich consisting of a locomotive and two empty maintenance cars that are used to carry track stone (ballast) from Binghamton to Sangerfield.

Thanks to all visitors and vendors who attended this year’s Annual Train-Toy Meet!

A big thanks to all visitors and vendors for attending this year’s event! Your participation made this year’s meet a success. The event was held on Saturday, November 25th at the Broad Street Methodist Church in Norwich. We had over 100 attendees and multiple vendors offering a wide range of merchandise. In addition to free parking, food, and fun, guests were able to visit with the train Doctor for minor repairs and to test any purchases.
