Norwich Historical Society In addition to published hours, we are also open by appointment. It's three galleries offer a range of exhibits that seek to link Norwich's past and present.

CLOSED LABOR DAY WEEKEND
The Norwich Historical Society mission is to preserve and interpret the history of the town and to foster a greater interest and respect for our shared heritage. The Lewis House at 277 Main Street in Norwich, Vermont, opened as a museum and community center in 2003. The facility may be used by local nonprofit organizations for meetings. The house and grounds make a lovely site for events of all kinds. Please inquire at: 802-649-0124. The NHS works closely with the nearby Marion Cross Elementary School on programs to engage students in local history.

"We the Unseen People: an artist and historian explore the archives" opens tonight! Come celebrate the unheard stories of Revolution Era Norwichians from 5-7pm at NHS. There will be music, refreshments, and lots of good history. See you there!
