Norwich Historical Society In addition to published hours, we are also open by appointment. It's three galleries offer a range of exhibits that seek to link Norwich's past and present.

The Norwich Historical Society mission is to preserve and interpret the history of the town and to foster a greater interest and respect for our shared heritage. The Lewis House at 277 Main Street in Norwich, Vermont, opened as a museum and community center in 2003. The facility may be used by local nonprofit organizations for meetings. The house and grounds make a lovely

site for events of all kinds. Please inquire at: 802-649-0124. The NHS works closely with the nearby Marion Cross Elementary School on programs to engage students in local history.

Self-guided tour includes 1 house interior and 5 gardens in the village and along the river. Wander through the gardens and enjoy the many plantings and vistas that create the settings for the homes.
