Happy Thanksgiving, y'all. I'm thankful for my young family, who collaborated with me for this dye. I've known my wife for more than half my life; she's my best friend and an exemplar of selfless hard work, and I count myself lucky to be her groom. Also, our daughter is one month old today. This is an approximation of her hand; she's feisty and unwilling to keep her hand still long enough for me to trace it well. I love these ladies with all my heart.

I started this dye last December and have been passively working on it since, and now I think I'm done. Avatar Aang battling Ozai during Sozin's Comet. This blue-glowing disc was from last year's MVP Gyropalooza pack. Now that this year's box just came out, I have to figure out what design I'm gonna do over the course of 2023.

Snow showed up just in time in SE WI to serve as a good backdrop for this dye. Snowflake on a Berg. I know we're not supposed to dye the front and back of a disc, but I think it works with this design and these colors.

The shapes around the rim represent the shape I was able to make with a glue bottle. There are 22 of them, symbolizing how many I could fit on the disc. Literally, I watched one glue masking tutorial and went to town. This disc is purple, but GStar plastic takes dye fairly well.

I love a comedy dye. A friend of mine asked me to dye this for one of our buddies, and I thought they should each have one because it's so niche. I like the clean look of the first and the "2011 Meme Template" background of the second.

I think I'm getting the hang of spin dyes. This was my second attempt at the masking technique to get the black splotches. I wanted to showcase more of the rim's background colors which is why I left it open a little bit. Matching the colors to the stamps was a fun challenge.

Sour Patch Child. The colors on this disc lent themselves to a watermelon dye, which was the original plan. I dyed the rim and my wife said it reminded her of watermelon sour patch, so I went with it. This is my first real attempt at hand painting, and it's not terrible. Definitely looks better from a distance though. Also today is my wife's birthday, so please wish her a happy birthday in the comments 😊
