Interesting story about a dog tag I found out at General Patton's Training ground in the 1970s with buddy Kevin Smith. I cleaned up the tag, sent it to a Navy MEYERKORD shipmate of mine from PA (now living in Colorado), and he sent the info to the VA, who tracked down the individual through his service records. Unfortunately he passed away, but the VA is partnered with the local newspaper to reunite the dog tag with the service member's family. Pretty cool!

Washington County received an inquiry from a Colorado resident, formerly of South Park, who wants to reunite a long-lost military dog tag with its owner or descendant.
