Thought I'd find more than the wall to hang my art! How about on your arm!! You're the first to see this! The color contrast in this Final Episode Bearded Iris is incredible!! I love the fragrence of the Iris and the color of this one matches the vibrance. My dad said, "An artist takes liberties with their paint like this iris." I actually took the photograph of this flower to paint. Silly fellow!

I had so much dun painting this! The specific paint color I use goes onto the paper so beautifully! It follows the paper and water with a "swoosh!" It's like childs' play. LOL
The Fuschia Zinnia is a tall elegant flower with a sturdy stalk like stem. I love how those who plant Zinnias usually spread multiple colors in one garden. I have my favorite walks to take with fabulous gardens to photograph.

The Bearded Iris is my all time favorite flower! As a child I did not know how delicate and costly they are! I would take a few cut flowers to my teachers every year. I love their fragrence! When I go for walks in the spring I can't help but lean in to smell their unique smell!

I absolutely LOVED painting this Red and White Dahlia. There was so much pleasure in painting the contrast between the red and white. When I got to what I thought was the completion I was not content. I paused for a night and asked my daughter if she had a critique. She said, "It's missing the green in the center." Swish, swipe and tada! That felt complete!

Can you almost smell the fragance of the Lily of the Valley?

I think these Rainbow Lantanas are the sweetest little bouquets I've ever seen!
They come in several different color varieties and I hope to one day paint them all! The shape of the individual flower alone is so delicate and cute! And the color varigation is so beaiutiful! The plant is a bush shape that ranges from small pot size to a large bush depending upon where you live.
The watercolor Lantana took about 45 hours to accomplish and gave me challenges, as does every flower I paint and I love it!

The off season approproately named Hydrangea or "Snowball" plant. This bush gives me so much joy to see in the summer! Large softball sized cluster of flowers filling the surface of the plant.
Upon a closer look the individual blooms are a graceful arrangement of simple white petals with delicate veins running through them. I had never noticed this until photographing them for this painting!
My Watercolor Hydrangea original is 15 x 22 painted in high quality paints and paper. The prints are a high quality giclee looking vibrant and nearly as close to the original as I can find.

The Dinnerplate Dahlia can range from 8 to 10 or more inches across! That makes a very large flower and amazing to paint.
The original watercolor painting is 9 inches by 11 inches and can be mafe in prints too. I loved painting this flower with my high quality paints and paper. She is vibrant, soft and a wonderful piece to bring the outdoors in. I tool this beauty's photo at Cher's Garden just outside Madison WI.

The adorable Cornell Dahlia is as small as a golf ball and up to about a tennis ball. The tight petals don't fan out much more than this flower. My favorite fun fact about the cute flower are the adorable tiny frogs that sit inside the pockets the petals make. What a great sense of humor nature has!

Painting these flowers gives me so much joy! Like reading a really great book that you dont want to reach the end so soon, these paintings are the same! I enjoy them so much I just want to keep painting! Thank goodness there are so many, many flowers!
